APNG vs GIF: What Twitch Actually Accepts
Twitch uses the APNG format (Animated PNG) for animated emotes — not GIF. APNG supports transparency, has better color quality than GIF, and looks crisp at Twitch’s small emote sizes. Discord, however, uses GIF for animated emotes. Our packs include both formats.
